Yard makeover

Side and front yard re-do with some artificial grass.  I basically had a soggy moss of a yard, the grading was terrible so had to fix all that as well.  I hauled a lot of gravel is all I can say.  Before and after comparison photo first.

 

Here's the before shot, some patchy grass amongst the moss.

 

 

You can see how bad the grading was.  I ended up digging down and installing drain pipe along the whole side of yard and grading the runoff away from the house.

 

 

 

Put in a small retaining wall basically to act as a border.  I also installed posts for a gate to keep my kids in the backyard when I need to.

 

 

Added gravel and graded it for the artificial grass.

 

 

 

Got the grass in and sold my lawn mower.

 

 

Now this is what I do every time I say I'm going out to mow the yard.
