New Kitchen

The kitchen faucet that came with house was starting to leak after 11 years, so I decided to do what most anyone would do and gut the whole kitchen and build all new cabinets.
I'll start with a before/after comparison
If I recall correctly, I used 19 sheets of plywood...
Ripped down
Rough lumber for the doors and edging
Solid wood edge banding for the shelves
Since I was using prefinished birch for the carcasses and shelves, I figured a solid edge band would help for strength.  I made them an 1/8" taller than the shelf and rabbeted out about an 1/8" to give the shelf some support.
Milling some lumber... fun.
Some extra weight I needed to keep a sheet of plywood flat
Not much space in my tiny shop so I stacked and clamped them together to eliminate an accidental crash
The massive sink
Had to router out the cabinet and since I didn't like the idea of screwing sink to the granite, I flushed it into the cabinet itself.
Big bertha pantry cabinet
I used prefinished drawer sides and did simple locking joint
Still milling lumber
Finally milled and cut to length

Routing the shaker edge

And here's where I ran into the most frustrating part.  The cutter on the bit has two blades, one was off by .008

So that created this wonderful gap that I had to chisel out of every stile because I didn't have time to wait for a new bit to be shipped.

Jig I built for assembling cabinet doors

New island cabinet etc.  I put the disposal and light above sink switches behind the face panel to the cabinet.
Doors sanded
Had to make my own base moulding, mostly just because, but also because I wanted something very slim and unobtrusive.
Originally they had a vent that fired up directly into the bottom of cabinet and then they had a vent slapped on the toe kick.  I built  a housing around the vent to direct the air out and modified the new toe kick for the air to escape.
Starting the backsplash.  I'm not a fan of doing tile work, I always seem to mess up the grout.
Stove was a tight fit.
Several months later and there isn't any complaints of a leaky faucet anymore.  I added 6" of counter space by the stove, and a lot more usable space on the island.  Not to mention the pantry and above fridge storage.
Leds both above and below off of a motion switch.
